(UnitedVoice.com) – Rapper and Producer Sean “Diddy” Combs has faced numerous allegations of abuse over the last several months. Federal agents recently raided two of his homes. The artist lashed out against the government.
Agents with the New York, Los Angeles, and Miami divisions of the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) raided two homes belonging to Combs on Monday, March 25. The multi-million dollar residences were located in Miami and LA. Agents, along with local law enforcement officers, swarmed the homes simultaneously early in the morning.
HSI didn’t release any information about the investigations except to confirm search warrants were carried out in both cities. Aaron Dyer, an attorney for Combs, issued a statement to the media accusing law enforcement of using an “excessive show of force and hostility” and treating the rapper’s children and employees poorly. He went on to say the raids were the result of officials carrying out a “witch hunt” against his client because of “meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.”
The civil lawsuits Dyer was referring to have been filed by multiple people. Combs settled one of the suits last year within one day of the filing. In that suit, his ex-girlfriend, a popular R&B singer, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, accused him of forcing her to engage in lewd acts with prostitutes for years. She said the incidents occurred in multiple cities across America, making her a victim of sex trafficking.
In another lawsuit, producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones claimed the rap mogul forced him to go out and find male prostitutes for Combs. He claimed the rapper also made him perform unconsentuall acts with others, including actor Cuba Gooding, Jr., and said Combs drugged people who attended his parties. The producer also claimed he had audio and video recordings taken over multiple years.
Another woman, who stayed anonymous, filed a lawsuit against Combs, accusing him and two other men of raping her in a studio when she was just 17 years old.
Combs has denied all of the allegations against him.
