(UnitedVoice.com) – The presidential election is about six months away. Former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden will face off against one another again. The 2020 rematch is already heating up, with both candidates taking shots at one another. There’s now a third-party candidate in the mix, too, who could shake up the election.
Recently, all of the candidates have been slinging mud at one another.
Trump Attacks Biden
On May 4, Trump hosted a luncheon for Republicans and donors at Mar-a-Lago. He gave a speech during the event and said Biden is “running a Gestapo administration.” The former president was referring to the secret police force that rounded up Jewish people during World War II.
Trump also said that once the Department of Justice indicted him, his gloves came off. He told the crowd he couldn’t believe it when he was indicted. It was a shock, but he thinks the Democratic Party wanted to beat him by charging him with crimes.
The former president called his successor America’s worst president and said Biden was “grossly incompetent” and “crooked as hell.”
Biden Campaign Fights Back
James Singer, a spokesman for the Biden Campaign, told reporters that Trump’s remarks at the retreat highlighted the fact that everything is “about him” and his retribution and fury. He appeared to insinuate that the former president wasn’t running for president because he wanted to serve the American people because he only serves himself, something Democrats have repeatedly accused him of doing.
Singer accused Trump of continuing to make “despicable and insulting comments about the Holocaust.” He also said he was “attacking law enforcement, celebrating political violence, and threatening our democracy.”
At the White House Correspondents Dinner, Biden attacked Trump by alluding to his criminal trial in New York. The former POTUS is accused of falsifying business records to cover up an alleged hush money payment to Stephanie “Stormy Daniels” Clifford, an adult film star. Biden said, “Donald has had a few tough days lately. You might call it stormy weather.”
Trump and Biden Attack Kennedy
Both Trump and Biden want to kneecap Kennedy’s campaign. The former president has called RFK Jr. a “Democrat Plant” and said any Republican who votes for him is wasting their vote. He also accused him of being “far more LIBERAL than anyone running as a Democrat.”
The Trump campaign also released a video of the independent candidate calling voter ID “racist.”

Meanwhile, Democratic National Committee spokesperson Matt Corridoni has said Kennedy was “recruited to run by MAGA Republicans” so he could help Trump.
If one thing is clear, the 2024 election is going to be wild.
