Doctors Claim Biden’s Lack of Emotion During Speech is Concerning

(UnitedVoice.com) – President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race on Sunday, July 21. He promised to address the nation and explain his decision in the days after. When he finally did that, his speech left some people concerned.

Biden addressed the nation from the Oval Office on Wednesday, July 24. He explained his reasons for dropping out of the election. There were no bombshells or confessions of illness. The president said he wanted to continue the reelection campaign but realized he couldn’t continue and said that defending America’s democracy was “more important than any title.”

President Biden also laid out his agenda for the remaining six months of his term. He said he wanted to continue negotiating an end to the war in Gaza, lower costs for families, work to protect reproductive rights, end gun violence, and accomplish other lofty goals.

The president, who’s known for being emotional, didn’t shed a tear during the address to the nation. He didn’t seem emotional at all, which was a cause for concern for doctors who spoke to Fox News Digital.

Dr. Marc Siegel, a Fox News medical contributor and professor at NYU Langone Medical Center, said the president appeared to be reading from a teleprompter, as presidents do, and that made it hard to gauge if he was healthy. He said Biden showed a “lack of emotion” during a “very emotional time for him.” Siegel noted that it appeared as though Biden lacked “conviction.”

The doctor expressed sympathy for the president, saying it looked like he was in shock. Dr. Robert Lufkin, a medical professor at USC and UCLA, agreed that the teleprompter is “less demanding than the more spontaneous” format of some of the president’s other events.

Both doctors admitted that they had never treated or examined the president. The White House responded to the speculation about Biden’s health, saying it was “not a factor” in his decision to withdraw from the race.
