Nikki Haley Snaps at Anti-Trump Group Using Her Name

(UnitedVoice.com) – Former US Ambassador Nikki Haley attracted a lot of voters who did not support Donald Trump during the GOP primary. She encouraged them to cast their ballot for the former president after she endorsed him. Haley recently lashed out at a group of her former supporters who now back Vice President Kamala Harris.

On Tuesday, July 23, a law firm representing the former South Carolina governor sent a cease and desist letter to the political action committee “Haley Voters for Harris.” The group was working with President Joe Biden’s campaign. It quickly threw its weight behind the VP after the POTUS made the decision to leave the race on July 21.

The law firm told the group that it must stop using Haley’s “name, image, or likeness” in a way that claims she is supporting the vice president in November. The attorneys stated that the former ambassador was clear about her support for Trump and that any insinuation otherwise was “intentionally false and misleading.” The letter also warned that if the group fundraises under the current name then it would alert authorities, including the FBI and Department of Justice.

The organization released a statement the same day reports surfaced about the letter, and the group rejected the law firm’s demands. The response said that it had not received the cease and desist letter yet, but it would review it and provide more remarks later.

The super PAC also stated that it “enthusiastically supported Ambassador Haley over” Trump in the GOP primary. It went on to say that the group wasn’t claiming that it represented Haley or the positions she stands for, but there are many voters like them who won’t vote for Trump in November.

The group declared that its “rights to engage with voters and encourage them to vote” for Harris would “not be suppressed.”

Haley spoke at the Republican National Convention and affirmed her support for Trump recently. That support came after a brutal primary campaign where she was the last Republican to drop out.
